1988
A New Chapter Begins
Quality Stoves & Spas was founded by Jeff and Melissa Barnhart, lifelong North Idaho residents with deep ties to family and faith. After Jeff was sidelined by a serious logging accident in 1986, the couple shifted paths and started fresh, launching the business out of their garage in Coeur d’Alene with a single product: wood pellets.
1989
A Place to Call Home
The Barnharts’ dedication and hard work quickly paid off. Within a year, they expanded into a small retail shop, growing beyond pellets to carry gas, wood, and pellet stoves. This step marked the beginning of their reputation for dependable products and personal service.
2000
Expanding in Post Falls
As the community’s needs grew, so did the business. In 2000, Quality Stoves & Spas moved into a larger Post Falls showroom. This new space allowed them to broaden their selection, adding fireplaces, BBQs, and home furnishings - all while keeping the same small-town values that shaped their beginnings.

A Legacy Built to Last
Decades of commitment to quality and community led to the Barnharts’ biggest milestone yet: a state-of-the-art showroom in the heart of Post Falls. At over 24,000 square feet, it has become the largest hearth and spa destination in the Northwest, carrying forward the family’s mission of helping people create warmth, comfort, and connection in their homes.

We are a family-founded, locally owned business started by Jeff and Melissa Barnhart out of their Coeur d'Alene garage in 1988. What began with a single product - wood pellets - has grown into the Northwest's largest hearth and spa destination, still run with the same small-town values that shaped our beginnings.
Our state-of-the-art showroom sits in the heart of Post Falls at 569 N Syringa St., Post Falls, ID 83854. At over 24,000 square feet, it is the largest hearth and spa destination in the Northwest, and we would love for you to stop by Monday through Friday 9am-6pm or Saturday 10am-5pm.
We offer a full-service experience from start to finish: free design consultations, turn-key delivery and professional installation by factory-trained installers, and custom hearth, mantel, and stonework. Most importantly, we back everything we sell with lifetime service and support, so our relationship does not end when the truck pulls away.
