Per the owner's manual, the N550 is for use with solid wood fuel only, preferably dry, seasoned cord wood. Never burn garbage or use flammable liquids such as gasoline, kerosene, or charcoal lighter fluid to start or freshen up a fire.
Per the owner's manual, the N550 must be connected to a 6" (150mm) factory-built UL 103 HT chimney (ULC S629 in Canada) or a code-approved masonry chimney with a flue liner, using a 6" chimney connector of at least 24-gauge black steel.
